Had a good time moving technolope and capital_l into their new place. It’s awesome, far superior to the last two hovels. I have no idea how the universe will conserve the “suck” in their living arrangements, but mark my words: suck is always conserved.
redmed and I took the afternoon and walked the freedom trail in Boston. While the ancient stuff was good, what was more interesting to me was how much traffic sucked. Yes, the big dig really is closed, due to the fact that it’s started to collapse and kill people. This means that all cars are on the surface now, and traffic cops are out trying to keep things moving. Wow, that’s not going to be good tomorrow morning.
Last night we had some folks over for barbecue. It was really nice. We sat out in our shiny new lawn chairs, fired up the grill, made gaspacho, and generally enjoyed the awesomeness of a summer evening. During the afternoon I bottled my Imperial Stout, and made a “cherry conserve” which graced some waffles this morning. Oh sweet awesomeness of food preservation technology.
My friend Todd, who taught me to brew beer, won three blue ribbons for his beers at a local (MN) fair. The interesting part to me: He hasn’t brewed since March of last year. These are all at least a year old. “Born on” dates on beer == total BS.
And now, Humor
