Got back from Baltimore last night at about 1am. Today, “after work,” redmed and I are hopping in a car to go to Allentown, PA to attend a six day teaching by the Dalai Lama. Despite the admonition that “his holiness greatly appreciates it when students prepare for his lectures by reading the source material beforehand,” I have utterly failed to prepare. I have read only two out of the three volumes … meaning that I’m about 450 pages behind for a class that starts tomorrow.
I haven’t felt this way since college. I know he’s gonna call on me. I just know it.
On the other hand, the 950 pages that I *have* read have gotten me thinking in all sorts of interesting and semi-profound ways. Hopefully, more on that later.
I’m so excited, I can hardly sit still.
