I am a consultant and engineer focused on high performance computing for science. For the past few years I have worked with Bioteam, specializing at the intersection of biology and computing. We live in the wild west of Bioinformatics / Genomics / Proteomics / Computational Biology / whatever else you choose to call it. In this job I have developed and maintained a software product, taught short courses on both bioinformatics and cluster computing, assisted in the design of machine rooms, directed the activities of a team of like minded individuals, and generally done what needed to be done to turn good ideas into scientific and business success.
My professional goal is to work with the brightest and most productive minds in the world to advance our understanding of the natural world, apply technology for the common good, and improve the quality of life for all humanity.
