Returning to RI, via Washington National. It appears that the flight information boards and displays are offline right now, so there’s a teensy bit of chaos here. http://cnn.com says:
Three days after snow and ice left them stranded at airports in the
Northeast, thousands of passengers are still trying to reach their destination.
Some spent the weekend sleeping on the floors in airports. US Airways is
trying to help some 100,000 of its stranded customers, but computer
problems and airline staffing rules are keeping many passengers in a
holding pattern at airports.
It’s been an exhausting, yet cathartic weekend. I’ll write more about it later, maybe.
For now, I’m just a bit nervous at the prospect of resuming my “normal” life. The last time I really understood my calendar and my schedule was Feb 6. It’s now March 18. In just the most trivial of examples, tax day is in less than a month.
