Is it a bad sign that it’s 10:20am and I’m already yelling things like
"boot, you motherless whore dog of a computer! I don't care about your fucking video card! You're a rack-mount server for the love of Christ! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!"
–UPDATE–
Good: Swapped a video board into the offending server (my personal web server) and it started to be able to talk to the monitor.
Bad: It booted Windows. Windows 935.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!
–UPDATE 2–
The video card had overheated and fused its fan, burning it to a crisp.
Windows 95 (the widowmaker) was on an old disk, still in the machine. For whatever reason, it decided that it would be better to boot from that disk rather than the system disk. No idea why. Old disk is physically gone now, thanks for playing.
System is back online, or will be soon, It first must be … chastised.
