Woke up at 6 this morning to take to the airport, down in Rhode Island. Then turned around and drove almost that far back north to Pedro’s Martial Arts for a judo tournament. I entered two divisions:

I have a couple of public beatings scheduled for the next few days:

My renewed cello is amazing. I find it effortless to light up those wonderful low registers, and the tuning just seems easier to hold true.

That said, when I was in high school I could easily play for two hours before my hands got really tired. Now, it’s maybe 15 minutes.
