That evening, we toasted long life and good health to Judge Jones at my corporate holiday dinner.  My company rocks.  <\/p>\n<p><em>Those who disagree with our holding will likely mark it as the product of an<br \/>\nactivist judge.  If so, they will have erred as this is manifestly not an activist Court.<br \/>\nRather, this case came to us as the result of the activism of an ill-informed faction<br \/>\non a school board, aided by a national public interest law firm eager to find a<br \/>\nconstitutional test case on ID, who in combination drove the Board to adopt an <\/p>\n<p>imprudent and ultimately unconstitutional policy.  The breathtaking inanity of the<br \/>\nBoard\u2019s decision is evident when considered against the factual backdrop which<br \/>\nhas now been fully revealed through this trial.  The students, parents, and teachers<br \/>\nof the Dover Area School District deserved better than to be dragged into this legal<br \/>\nmaelstrom, with its resulting utter waste of monetary and personal resources.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Breathtaking inanity.  The decision  (according to NPR) is mostly factual findings, which are usually not subject to change on appeal.  Facts like &#8220;Is ID a thinly veiled creationism?  Yes.&#8221;  &#8220;Can we teach religion (as doctrine, not history) in the public schools?  No.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The very best part of the report was at the very end, the commentator asked &#8220;and who appointed this judge to the federal bench?&#8221;  That would be our current president, ladies and gentlemen.  <\/p>\n<p>Long life and good health to Judge Jones &#8230; and may he have further opportunities to rule on matters of &#8220;breathtaking inanity.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I wrote a letter to my congressmen, and the next day Judge Jones slapped down Intelligent Design in the public schools, in a remarkably brutal decision..
