Fortunately, it&#8217;s the competent shop and not the godforsaken Apple retail outlet&#8230;but it still makes me feel sad and alone.  My sweet little laptop.  I spend more time with it than with, well, with any other piece of matter that I didn&#8217;t grow &#8230; outside of my two pieces of jewlery.  <\/p>\n<p>Anyway, working on the emergency loaner 12&#8243; powerbook that we at <a href=\"http:\/\/bioteam.net\">the company<\/a> have for times exactly like these.  I did the minimum info transfer required for functionality, assuming that I&#8217;ll be back to my real environment in a couple of days anyway, and transferring 18GB of user environment (mostly iPhoto and iTunes, thanks for asking) was just a pain.  Yes, I&#8217;ve got a complete image in case The Worst happens.<\/p>\n<p>So, since we can&#8217;t seem to have internet access at our Boston office, and I&#8217;m meeting my friend at the Expo Center this evening, I&#8217;m chillin&#8217; near Harvard Square.
