I write from the path of hurricane Omar. It’s scheduled to gain strength to a category two, and beat the tar out of Tortola this evening. We were first summoned off the water, and then kicked off the boat into a villa up the hill. So here we sit, waiting for the rain to subside.<\/p>\n

The exodus from the yacht club was entertaining. Dozens of people with the resources to hire a yacht for a week, but without the brains to flee a big storm. Think ‘upscale refugee camp.’<\/p>\n
