Okay, now that that enlightenment stuff is passed, I can share these:<\/p>\n

This is what it’s like when I watch foreign TV, or honestly when I watch any TV at all. Imagine that your whole world was both this confusing and this funny. That’s what it’s like to be me.<\/p>\n

My favorite sentence: It is often said that doctors are interfering monsters obsessed with disease and power, who will not be satisfied until they control ever y aspect of our lives (Journal of Social Science, pick a volume)<\/em><\/p>\n

And here, to the great shame of my dignity, is the “pet spa”: I’m sure that the cat in question was cleaner after the fact, but he looks … well … betrayed. <\/p>\n

In a rare spasm of guilt, I checked into the Pet Spa thing, and found out where it comes from: Launderpet<\/a>. They have a fairly detailed statement on their web site, including the following:<\/p>\n

When in doubt about a pet\u2019s distress, you must err on the side of caution and stop the Pet Spa cycle and remove the pet from the Pet Spa.<\/em><\/p>\n

So, despite the fact that the cat was in no danger, it *was* upset, and the owners \/ operators *should* have stopped the wash cycle earlier. <\/p>\n
