What did you do in 2006 that you&#8217;d never done before?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Did real, serious, no kidding charity work.  <\/p>\n<p><b>2. Did you keep your New Yars&#8217; resolutions, and will you make more for next year?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>I had two:<\/p>\n<p><em>Write at least one thing of substance per week. A short essay, a letter to a representative, a poem, just something. These are due on Sunday. They need not be shared with anyone, but I need to write them.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I got through <a href=\"http:\/\/cdwan.org\/essays\/\">thirty of them<\/a>.  That&#8217;s a lot more than zero, but substantially less than 52.  I&#8217;d love to be able to say that the other 22 are too private to be shared &#8230; but that&#8217;s just not true.<\/p>\n<p><em>Create a budget with Jen. Reconcile it monthly. Use this process to increase charitable giving and savings without spiraling into debt. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Except for the monthly reconciliation happening about every three months, this worked out pretty well.<\/p>\n<p>Still thinking about whether I need anything new this year.<\/p>\n<p><b>3. Did anyone close to you give birth?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Yup.  The trend continues.  My pool of friends is approaching &#8220;replacement&#8221; levels of new humans produced.<\/p>\n<p><b>4. What countries did you visit?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Haiti.  Italy.  <\/p>\n<p><b>6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ownership in my company (again).<\/p>\n<p><b>7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fdmts.livejournal.com\/272899.html\">June 2nd<\/a>, the day that someone <em>else<\/em> did a better job of making my wedding anniversary special than I did.<\/p>\n<p><b>8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? <\/b><\/p>\n<p>I got my black belt.<\/p>\n<p><b>9. What was your biggest failure? <\/b><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m no more organized than I was a year ago.<\/p>\n<p><b>10. Did you suffer illness or injury? <\/b><\/p>\n<p>I think I <a href=\"http:\/\/fdmts.livejournal.com\/262316.html\">broke a rib<\/a>, but other than that nothing much.<\/p>\n<p><b>11.
